I will rise, I will rise, as Christ was raised to life
Now in Him, now in Him, I live.
I have been reading Ecclesiastes these couple of days and I am kinda shocked at how the writer, who is Kind Solomon (love/hate him) can be so deep and filled with wisdom (obviously from God). If you think you are smart whatsoever, you should seriously consider reading this incredible book in the Bible. It like getting a peak into less than 0.00000000000000000(etc forever)1% of God's brain
Who would even ever say that folly and wisdom are meaningless.
" The wise man has eyes in his head, while the fool walks in the darkness; but I came to realise that the same fate overtakes them both." Ecc 2: 14
Another well known section of the book talk about 'A time for everything', which made me realise that God gives us such a liberty and freedom to express our thoughts, feelings and actions at different times.
If there is a time for everything, such as death-life, kill-heal, search-give up and even to love-hate, there is also a time to weep and sing for joy.
Why then are we, Christian always trying to put up a brave front? Every time, people speak of something terrible or bad, they have this tendency to end it off my saying, God has a plan and purpose for everything. Though this is theologically true, it places less importance on the situation and feelings that they are going through. Some will argue that by knowing the truth that God is in control helps people to get through this situations. But have we ever wondered that God allowed this to happened, so that we may weep and cry, be angry and learn to forgive, to resolve the anger, to heal the hurt, to tear and then to rebuild, to uproot and plant again?
I believe that people are important, they feelings are important and the way that we deal with situations in our life are important to God. Everything about ourselves, the way we are made by our Creator is important and everything that we are, our intellectual, emotions, spirituality, character and personality, abilities etc are a reflection of who God is. Since we are made in His image, I am pretty sure that everything we are and have is something of God's. Why would God give us all those annoying feelings if we can properly express them?
Going to back to the deep book. HAHA
My favourite section is Chapter 5 " Stand in awe of God"
"Much dreaming and many words are meaningless. Therefore stand in awe of God" Ecc 5:7
Being alone with God in silence and solitude is one of the greatest disciplines in our discipleship journey. It is only during these times, that I literally hear the Words of God and understand His heartbeat for my life and for other issues.
The sleep of a labourer is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the abundance of a rich man permits him no sleep. Ecc 5:12
This is another rather complicatedly deep verse which I like. No one will ever think about such things, but when I really started to meditate on these verse, I went "Woahhhh"
