Ended my first presentation this semester and was shoot down twice by my vv intelligent lecturer. :( He seems to have a wealth of knowledge in his skinny head and thus, my research and understand of everything that I presented should have been through. Learning point: Not to assume that authors from the internet are credible.:/

I thought this chinese poet was romantic and imaginative, because some random author from a nicely presented 'scholar'-looking website claims so and so I search for the poet's love poems.

It seems that no one will call Li Bai (poet) romantic:/ And the poem I researched on was on friendship love and not on lovers' love. Ahhh.

Am going for my academic writing course and yes, very relevant since one of the section of our readings talk about ' not taking the idea's views and ideas as your own'

Too much academic stuff going on but I am in the process of learning (: (only consolation for today!)

Autumn wind clear

Autumn moon bright

Fall leaves gather and scatter

Jackdaw perch again startle

Each think each see know what day

This hour this night hard be feeling  The autumn air is clear,

The autumn moon is bright.

Fallen leaves gather and scatter,

The jackdaw perches and starts anew.

We think of each other- when will we meet?

This hour, this night, my feelings are hard.

HAHAHA. Who talks about friendship like that! CHINESE POETS. Anyway, upon realizing that it was based on friendship, I thought it was pretty interesting actually.
